An Honor Guard has been requested for the funeral of our brother Michael Fitzsimmons of Council 11234. The funeral mass will be held this Thursday October 13th at 5pm at St Catherine of Siena Church. I do not believe any members of our Assembly have obtained the new regalia, but you are all invited to participate in Tux with social baldric and gloves. (of course you are also encouraged to attend w/o tux as well to pay respects)

I have reached out to our District Marshal to muster an Honor Guard in Regalia to honor our departed brother.

Please let me know ASAP if you are able to attend.

This is double coverage on the Pilgrim Virgin Statue procession, and also a request for an Honor Guard for a fallen Brother at St Raphaels on Friday Feb 11th. Please take note the permissible dress codes in lieu of the traditional regalia. Please prayerfully consider your participation in these events. Remember the words of the 1st degree, “members of our order have no more binding, no more compelling duty than the care of the widow and children of a departed brother. It is also one of the Corporal Works of Mercy of the Church to Bury the Dead.

An Honor Guard has been requested for the funeral of Sir Knight Ed Cody. Funeral Mass will be at St Raphael Church, Raleigh NC, on Friday February 11th starting at 11:00 am.
Remember that an Honor Guard can be SK’s in new uniform, followed by SK’s in tux and then followed by SK’s in dark suit. White shirt for all, black tie for dark suit, black bow tie for tux, black shoes, and black socks for all.

It is with heavy heart that I sadly report that our brother, Donald Govan, uncle to our own brother Vince Govan, has passed away as a result of a massive heart attack. An honor guard has been requested and arrangements are detailed below.

Visitation on Wednesday, December 12 from 5-7 pm, with a Rosary Devotion at 7 pm at Poole’s Funeral Home in Knightdale.

Funeral Mass on Thursday, December 13 at 11 am in Wendell: St Eugene, 608 Lions Club Rd, Wendell NC

We’ve been invited to march with Council 11234 in the Wake Forest Christmas Parade in Regalia. My co CCC Mike Pughes and I will be there. Anyone else like to march with us!? Please let me know and I’ll forward details as they come in. Parade is next Saturday December 8th.

Time is growing short to wear our beloved regalia, so please consider joining us. For those who’ve never marched a parade in regalia before, I’ll tell you the response you get from the crowd and the extraordinary feeling of the true meaning of Christmas are exceedingly worth the time!!!!

I have had several brothers ask the great question, "which regalia?". The current, or "old" style, is still in full use and will be through July 1, 2019 when it is to be discontinued.. If you have the new, it is also welcome at this juncture. Both are being used together throughout the order.

GK Mike Potochnik has requested an Honor Guard for the Annual Memorial Mass required in the bylaws for Council 11234. This blessed event is slated for Sunday November 18th at the 8am Mass. Please arrive by 7:15 am to dress in the bridal suite and for briefing.

I expect we can have a robust turnout for our home parish, and our first opportunity to show Fr. Bill-John how his Knights support our Clergy!!

Please also remember while gathering in the Narthex, the Rosary will be going on and sound travels very well in our church which is disruptive to the faithful praying. Thanks in advance for your prudence in conversation.
